Just curious on other people's opinions. I tend to lean towards Giuliani, but I also like Edwards.

Well since you asked, Cody, I would like to see Texas secede from the union, put a musician in leadership, develop a constitution that serves the people, stop putting people in jail that don't deserve to be there, & send anyone named Bush to live in Iraq! lol Corporate control of America dictates that politicians are to be corrupt if they are to be elected, I have no faith in the smiley glad hands that have been bleeding this country for too long.... Public education of the young in Texas is a joke that will only leave us far worse in the future. One day these youngsters will be running things and if education remains on the back burner we only sentence our children to make up the class of "The Working Poor"........and that is the way Big Brother wants it, keep the people ignorant and at each others throat so nothing will get done..... These are merely just a few things that I find broken.......people can always vote for a lesser of the two evils as it always comes down to that & look where that has left us

Cody, sorry but you left off one of the most important candidates, House member from Texas, Rep. Ron Paul. This guy is saying that the things I want to hear. He's talked about things like the legalization of marijuana, the removal of the IRS, reducing the role of the Federal Government, and exiting the Iraq war. He doesn't get much media coverage, and is NEVER included in national poles. He has raised more campaign money than Edwards, so how come nobody has heard of him? This guy is the anti government candidate that we need in this time of "Big Brother is watching you". I encourage everyone to take some time to hear his words. If you're wanting to vote, but can't choose someone who you feel is looking out for you, take a look at Ron Paul. www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ron+paul&search=Search

I heard the name but didn't know much about him until your post gw, so I did a little research on him and my conclusion is I don't see me being a a Ron Paul fan, mainly for 2 reasons.....He's not a supporter of Stem-Cell research. nor is he of Pro-Choice, 2 issues I feel strongly about......I like reading all these opinions and political stances for some reason, so thanks for yalls posts and input.

I like how the term killing babies is replaced for a much nicer term pro choice. We Americans will go for anything as long as the terminology is appropriate

ahh... the post i read here must have deleted... someone said something about pro-choice.
Yes, everyone has a choice. That choice is before you take your clothes off and it’s called being responsible. My thoughts are for sterilization for those who are not responsible as procreators. And by responsible, I mean choosing to procreate when you’re willing and able to care for another person. (without my a$$istance~ gov’t handout)
BTW, thanks Cody for bringing up the presidential topic. And thank you, GuitarWarrior, for presenting a candidate I could vote for with a clear conscience, who represents my thoughts on government. In the end, it’s the big things that matter, such as leadership beliefs and respect for our constitution. (not as we’ve seen with “W” throwing a bone to the Christians to abolish abortion, while essentially being a dictator, ruling with Executive Orders)

I really wish that Ron Paul would be taken seriously. He just has so many radical ideas that it frightens all the 'lemmings' in America. And of course we fear what we don't understand, and usually won't take the time to investigate it further. But if America really wanted change, they would get off the gender/racial bandwagon, and listen to what the candidates are saying. But I guess if a woman or person of color is running, the thing to do is assume that change of skin tone or gender is truly Change We Can Believe In. Somehow I don't think that just automaticaly correlates with change in government. Status quo from a bro or a hoe? I think so.. RON PAUL 08!!!

You know...the one thing that is missing here is the candidate who ACTUALLY served his country....lives by common HONEST principles...and is one bad S.O.B. I think G Gordon Liddy should run against John McCain...and why not Hillary or Obama (personally 'm going for the most radical change of all....Obama...he may not have the most experience..or the best this or the best that....but it would REALLY shake things up...he's not from the 'Ole BoysClub' of rich white corporate America with OLD MONEY.... I'm not much of a political person myself, mainly because being a politician i's ALL ABOUT LIES AND DECEPTION, but I know that what I see isn't good for us (America) at all.. America has NOT seen a good president since the Reagan years... That's all i got to say on that...amd I"m passing out now...NITE NITE ALL!!!
